This is an estimate, not a promise.

It doesn't count the extras: fewer mistakes, faster replies, and room to grow.

The math

How it works

  • Hours back a week = the hours you spend on the task, times 50%. We only count half, because a person still checks the work and handles the odd case.
  • Money back a year = those hours back, times what an hour of that time costs, times 48 working weeks.
  • The range: the low end uses 35% instead of 50%, so you see a careful number and a fair one.
  • Phone calls add a second sum: missed calls a week, times about 4.33 weeks a month, times 30% who are new, times 50% who would book, times what a first job is worth, times 50% you win back (35% in the low case). It counts the first job only, never a lifetime of work.

A worked example

A team spends 10 hours a week on a task, and an hour of that time costs 35 USD. That is 5 hours back a week, and about 8,400 USD a year — or 5,880 USD in the careful low case. For missed calls: 10 a week works out to roughly 975 USD a month you could win back.

What it doesn't count

It leaves out the things that are real but hard to put a number on: fewer mistakes, faster replies to customers, and the room to take on more work. So treat the result as a floor, not a ceiling. This is an estimate, not a promise.

FAQ

Questions about the calculator

You pick the task that costs you the most time, say how many hours a week your team spends on it, and what an hour of that time is worth. The tool counts half those hours as time you could get back, then turns that into a yearly range. The phone-calls task adds a second sum for first jobs you could win back.
